Men’s Ministry

Because We’re Not Made to Battle Alone

How we lock arms to celebrate, struggle, correct, encourage, pray, and grow—together.

What We Do

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).

The men of Sylvania seek to recapture biblical manhood by equipping men to provide Christ-like love, self-sacrifice, and leadership to their homes and to the body of Christ. We believe that the example of the early church provides us with a timeless pattern for what should be the primary focus of the church—they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42).

Bible Study

We meet at Sylvania for Bible study every Thursday morning at 6am.

Breakfasts

Our men gather together on occasion for a Saturday morning men’s breakfast.

Organic Fellowship

Honestly, the overwhelming majority of our men’s meetings happen organically—men taking the initiative to gather with other men for lunch, family fellowships, or get togethers after work.

Culturally, the men of Sylvania make time for mutual encouragement, burden carrying, prayer, and fellowship.
